Fast-acting rFVIIa analogue
:Haemostatic agent
:Phase 2
Novo Nordisk is developing a fast-acting analogue of rFVIIa (NN1731) designed to deliver predictable, fast, and sustainable haemostasis (arrest of bleeding). It is produced by a serum free process in mammalian cell culture.
NN1731 is an optimized rFVIIa molecule resulting from our in-depth knowledge of the mechanism of action of rFVIIa. It has a targeted and localized mode of action, and is expected to require fewer doses to obtain haemostasis, result in less frequent need for re-treatment (occurring 24-48 hrs after onset of bleeding) and resolve even severe bleedings fast.
